What we do
01
DECA Outreach and Lisha Jamii initiative
The outreach program reaches out to the vulnerable in the society by visiting children’s homes, homes for the elderly, the streets, children in hospitals. Other than the provision of basic amenities such as food and clothing during such visits, the outreach program develops activities to be undertaken with the homes visited to provide the children with company and fun experiences.
Lisha Jamii reaches out to communities affected by food shortages, offering food packages to alleviate the situation.
02
DECA Mentorship
The mentorship program is largely focused on children, seeking to provide guidance and support on various aspects of daily life. The program organizes sessions in schools and children’s homes for mentorship discussions on topics such as personal development, goal setting, careers, sexual relationships, peer pressure and drug abuse.
